2021 News![]() 'L' Alveare' - commissioned work - oil on canvas, 1800 x 1200 mm
2021 we hope will bring an end to the worldwide pandemic, the renewed hope of worldwide travel and more positive directions and decisions in saving our beautiful planet. For me I am excited to continue capturing all of the beauty that nature provides in my work and to share it with you all.
We have been very fortunate in our country that decisions were made very early last year to close our borders so that life pretty much is normal here for us enabling us to continue with individual tuition, our weekly art class and the occasional workshop out of town. Once our borders are open again, we look forward to once again having people from overseas in our studio for tuition. In the same vein as last year, my time is spent doing almost 100% commissioned works so I haven’t had time in my work schedule to paint a work for general exhibition. For this reason, I would like to share my latest commissioned work with you. I really enjoy this side of my work and this year's commissions have allowed me to paint subjects which are very close to my heart, such as seascapes and landscapes with figures and of course florals. Here is a commissioned Oil of a client’s wife in a garden landscape with their beautiful home featured that I completed recently. This was a gift for his wife. This work is entitled “L’Alveare” I understand that these are fairly unprecedented times throughout the world and I like to think that despite all the uncertainty and gloom that surrounds us in many ways, I help to provide images and reminders of the incredible beauty and miracle that is life in all its forms. If you would like to peruse my inventory of prints that are for sale on this website, please go to the 'Giclee Prints' tab on the bar at the top of this page Kind regards and stay well, Paul Coney
